Steve is a Director of Current Environmental and an experienced engineer and leader. He has a strong sustainability focus and a proven track record of improving environmental and business performance across the energy and mining sectors. Steve is passionate about guiding industry toward practical, balanced solutions that deliver positive outcomes for both the environment and project objectives. With a lifelong connection to the ocean, Steve brings a deep appreciation for marine environments and a values-driven approach to environmental stewardship and leadership.

Dr. Claire Charlton
Dr Claire Charlton is a Director of Current Environmental and a Principal Environmental Scientist with over 20 years of experience across government, academia, and the resources sector. Holding a PhD in marine mammal science, Claire is internationally recognised for her expertise in marine fauna and environmental impact assessment. She leads multidisciplinary programs and delivers robust, evidence-based solutions that meet regulatory and client requirements. Claire is a strong strategic leader and mentor, championing best practice and high scientific standards across all projects.

Emily Evans
Emily is a senior marine scientist and experienced Marine Fauna Observer with more than a decade of field, research, and environmental impact assessment experience in Western Australia. She has worked extensively with sensitive marine fauna and brings strong expertise in underwater noise, marine fauna management, and project delivery. As Managing Director, Emily leads with a focus on mentorship, inclusivity, and team wellbeing, ensuring high standards of environmental stewardship and positive outcomes for both clients and the marine environment.

Brodee Lowe
Brodee is a senior marine scientist and subject matter expert with over 10 years of experience across academia, industry, and tourism sectors. She has worked extensively with marine fauna as a field researcher and project lead, specialising in underwater acoustics and cetacean ecology. As a Senior Marine Fauna Observer and Training Instructor, Brodee is committed to respectfully integrating Traditional Owner knowledge into industry practice. Through strong mentorship, clear communication, and collaborative leadership, she supports effective project delivery while achieving positive outcomes for our oceans.
Senior MFO and Environment Advisor

Ticiana Fetternman
Ticiana is a highly experienced marine fauna ecologist with a Master’s in Marine Biology and over 20 years of experience across marine research, conservation, and environmental advisory roles. She has led boat-based, shore-based, and drone survey programs and worked extensively as an MFO across Western Australia. Her expertise spans multiple marine fauna receptor groups, and she has contributed to major projects both nationally and internationally. Known for her calm, collaborative approach and depth of experience, Tici is a trusted Senior MFO and team leader.
